Apartment Blocks

Cost effective and sustainable waste management in multi occupational apartment blocks can be particularly challenging. There are numerous considerations:

1. Residents may have to walk some distance to communal recycling bin areas
2. There is often a high annual turnover of residents so it is difficult for recycling campaigns to have a widespread impact
3. Infrequent or missed collections can mean communal waste chambers overflowing quickly and causing an unsightly hygiene risk
4. In crowded high rise estates, it is often difficult to get large waste trucks to safely manoeuvre in the tight spaces

With these conditions in mind, the Morgan AutoBin® designed for apartment buildings provides an ideal solution that can be included in a new build design or can fit into the pre-existing infrastructure. The system is particularly designed for apartment blocks with a chute system where residents deposit waste into a chute opening on every floor and the waste is fed down into a waste chamber at the bottom of the building.

The system incorporates a waste handling system that automatically loads the large chambered AutoBins® and ensures amounts up to 150 kg per day can easily be destroyed.
